New reports are showing that taxpayers are paying more to help Florida's professional sports franchises and the film industry than the state gets in return. Report: Florida hospitals at risk of losing $1.3 billion
Florida is at risk of losing about $1.3 billion in federal funds used to reimburse hospitals that treat large numbers of poor and uninsured patients, jeopardizing the medical centers’ ability to continue serving those populations, according to a report released Thursday by state healthcare officials. UF’s Verigo gets funding agreement with institute
University of Florida spinoff company Verigo has secured a funding agreement with the Florida Institute for the Commercialization of Public Research. Verigo, incorporated as Comm-N-Sense, develops and manufactures wireless tracking and monitoring technology to help businesses that rely on perishable supply chains operate more efficiently.
